Where: Good Times Park in Eagan.
Age of Bap Boy: 25 months
Review: Winter's saving grace for active children may be found for a few hours at Good Times Park in Eagan. We went with Bap Boy, now 25 months old and one of Bap Boy's best big "brothers" who is almost 5. Both boys had a marvelous time, and so did us adults. It's basically one of the cleanest indoor play areas in the Twin Cities that mimics an outdoor park, but inside. There are play areas for basketball, football, soccer and building things with big blocks. The huge trampoline is also a blast! We are considering a year membership which is $115 for one child, making it out to be about $9.50 a month. Otherwise, each isolated trip is $8.00/child. Given the long, draggy Minnesota winters, this may be worthwhile. The website says it's best for kids 1 and older, and I would agree. However, personally I would say when my child was just a little bit older than 1 vs. now as a child a little bit older than 2, it's a world of difference. He can do so much more and seems to be having so much more fun. As a 1 year old, he seemed more tentative to do some of the activities, and frankly, was probably too tiny for some of it. Now that we went with him as a bonafide 2 year old, and we saw how he enjoys virtually everything there (he's an excellent climber), I think it'll be more worth the trip.
