I'm sure literally nobody reads my kid-friendly area since I loyally and royally suck at updating this. I blame moving to Korea and living there for 6 months then moving back to Minnesota all in one year. Oh and new jobs, new daycare, and selling and buying a home in that same calendar year as a reason for why this website in general sat and collected dust for many months.
But I'm back, and committed to living in Minnesota for a great while, so will be trying to re-vive this and my mommyhood exploration of all that's fun for kids in Minnesota. Mine is gonna be young enough to do "kid stuff" for at least 5-6 more years so I'll try to keep this going for a while.
In just the 3 months since moving back to Minneapolis in June 2016, here are new places I haven't formally reviewed on here, but would say are awesome enough that you should go, too.
1. Crayola Experience at the MOA - really cheap memberships right now. So worth it, if you ask me. Wrote a little post here, but will likely do a more expansive post later...
2. Minnetonka Orchards (seasonal) - wrote a post here - photos, photos, photos!
3. Minnesota Landscape Arboretum - particularly go to the Green Play Area and Children's garden/greenhouse. So fun for kids over 2.5! Okay, maybe younger would be fun, too, but every kid differs when it comes to how much they eat/throw sand. I reviewed the Arboretum previously, but hadn't explored this specific area of the arboretum until this year.
4. Loring Park Art Festival (held in July)
Enjoy what's here in this beautiful state! (Minus January - most of March...dang I hate winter here.)
