I got sucked into a drama called "Familiar Wife" which is similar to "Confession Couple" in that a person goes back in time and changes the course of their life. In Familiar Wife, going back in time results in a different path and different wife for the main character. I am an easy target for alternate universe "what ifs" and time travel dramas, so this one, which is rounded out with romantic sentiments is right up my alley. I am speeding through the episodes, both of which are on DramaFever and Viki. There are supposed to be 16 episodes total. 14 are uploaded onto DramaFever right now. I'm on episode 11, and if work, parenting and sleep didn't get in the way, I would have marathoned it!
I am almost finished with Let's Eat 1. I did complete Let's Eat 3; will review it soon. I don't like Let's Eat 1 as much as Let's Eat 3. However, the ending is actually more engaging and endearing than the beginning, so I'm glad I stuck it out so far. I will probably end up recommending it but likely it won't get a high rating because some episodes felt contrived. All food scenes though, as expected - are AMAZING.
See the complete list of dramas I've reviewed here.
Soju (1) | It had me coming back for more, but left me with a hangover. Worth it in the moment, but slight regret the next day.
Kimbap (2) | It moved well and often left me wondering what would happen in the next episode, but it wasn't as fulfilling as it had the potential to be.
Bibimbap (3) | I lost a lot of sleep because they knew how to end each episode with a cliffhanger! Lots of harmonious ingredients making this one a win!
Fanatic (4) | An amazing drama that was very well told and nearly every single episode ended with a major cliffhanger making you scream for more! I'm an absolute fan!
(I only put on here the dramas I actually recommend because I think it's really good. Even a soju rating means it was good and satisfying. A fanatic rating just means it blew me away and was near perfection. There are many dramas I've seen that I don't have on my recommendation list.)
